I spent a long time searching for the ideal dishwashing liquid recipe.
I made my life complicated by testing loads of recipes, some successful, many unsuccessful... when the most effective solution was right in front of me!
Until the day I tried cleaning with solid dish soap and a wooden brush. I was a little hesitant at first (who knows why!) but I was amazed by the effectiveness of these products combined.
And while continuing my search to offer you even better products, I discovered Anotherway. This Marseille-based brand offers household cleaning products with simple, natural ingredients, and above all, they're made in France. It was only natural that I wanted to offer you their products, which I've tested and approved. Today, I'm introducing you to this socially responsible brand, which has kindly agreed to answer our questions.
Samuel Olichon, a proud Breton who has lived near Marseille for several years, is a nature lover but has been bewildered in recent years by humanity's ever-increasing impact on our beautiful planet. He felt compelled to create a meaningful entrepreneurial project with a real impact on the planet. He firmly believes that no action is too small when 7 billion of us are making a difference. When his sister brought him back from Australia an amazing piece of beeswax-coated fabric, a great alternative to single-use plastic wrap for food, he knew there was an opportunity to be seized with this simple AND revolutionary product: Bee Wrap. And so, in November 2018, Anotherway was born.
Anotherway is committed to democratizing sustainable alternatives to everyday disposable products in order to change consumption habits.
Every day, we dedicate our talents, energy, and ideas to advancing this ecological and social project, creating eco-responsible products with committed, local partners. We are dreamers. Our approach is pragmatic and optimistic. Staying true to our values allows us to get up every morning with pride and enthusiasm. Our ultimate dream? To bring people together around our project, to create even more impact and move forward… with common sense! From the design to the distribution of our products, Anotherway is committed to: - Designing ecological and practical alternatives to everyday objects, especially single-use items. Long live zero waste! - Designing durable products and/or products with an end-of-life recycling solution. Our ambition? To move as close as possible to a circular economy. - Exchanging ideas and engaging in dialogue with our customers to improve our products. - Minimizing our carbon footprint by using only truck transport, for example, and producing as locally as possible. - Produce locally, ideally in France or Europe, sourcing our raw materials as locally as possible. - Meticulously select our partners, in line with our commitments. For example? The ESAT (sheltered workshop) we work with in Marseille is "LUCIE 26000" certified (which guarantees the implementation of positive CSR) and our printer uses renewable resources for its energy. - Create local jobs. We already have over 8. - We are members of 1% for the Planet and, for example, at the beginning of 2021, we donated 2% of our revenue to 3 different associations: Pure Ocean, to protect our seas; the Nos Abeilles en Provence association to protect our bees; and the 1 Déchet par Jour association to take care of our cities. - We are committed to working alongside the South Region. For example, we have signed the "South Zero Plastic Waste" commitment charter and pledge to reduce plastic waste in the sea and on land to preserve natural environments and our quality of life. How? By offering zero-waste solutions and also by committing to a "zero plastic waste" CSR approach. - We have also been recognized as a mission-driven company since September 2021
- Bee Wrap, our very first product, which we also offer in bags and rolls - Reusable dish sponges and solid dish soaps - Multi-purpose tablets to dissolve in water, perfect for eliminating all bottles of cleaning products at home and thus reducing your impact by nearly 90%! - Closely followed by reusable paper towels. As you can see, we want to offer you plenty of zero-waste alternatives for the kitchen!Every day, each team member tries their best at their own pace. There's no judgment; we share our good (and sometimes bad) practices. Everyone comes to the office by public transport or on foot. Everyone has their own reusable water bottle, and we print very, very little. Recycling is always done. And of course, we never leave the office without turning off all the power strips. If we have to travel, we prefer the train (never a plane!). We also use our own products at the office. We always try to prioritize secondhand items, both for equipment and office furniture. We also offer each other products and items we no longer use. We regularly clean out our emails and our drive to reduce our carbon footprint. We are also committed to participating, as a team, in initiatives in Marseille, either with associations or directly on our own. We have already done several litter cleanups (see photo). We donate our imperfect products to Les Restos du Cœur (a French food bank charity). Currently, we're taking on the "My Little Planet" challenge. This challenge suggests many small things to implement, if you haven't already, to try and have an even more positive impact on our planet.

Haha... To be continued ;).
We can simply tell you that there are so many single-use things that don't have a zero-waste alternative in the home!
As you've probably gathered, Anotherway's mission is to offer alternatives to everyday disposable products. Their strength lies in their predominantly French or, failing that, European manufacturing, and in their products meeting consumer expectations. Their motto: "There are no small gestures when 7 billion people are making them!"
So don't wait any longer, what small gesture will you make today for yourself and for the planet? Find the entire Anotherway product range, and much more, in our online shop here.
