Are you tired of bottles piling up in the bathroom, and the often toxic products they contain? We are too, and at My Better Way, we have THE ideal solution for you: the natural and organic Solid Shampoo developed by Wilmotte Cosmétique.

Today, we introduce you to Stéphanie, the founder of this innovative brand, who has agreed to answer our questions.

Wilmotte Cosmetique is less than a year old; the brand was born in the Luberon, where I first encountered natural hairdressing 6 years ago – natural, ethical, ecological hairdressing... A profession that resonates with my values. It was during my 5 years in this salon that I got the idea to create my own solid shampoos and, to tell you the truth, I even dreamed about it!

I like to experiment with different things and, inspired by Julia Cameron's book "The Artist's Way", I was even able to draw the shape following a dream. Finally, by listening to my clients every day at the salon, I was able to really define what they truly needed.

Of course, ecology touches me deeply and I think that everyone should try to do their part on a daily basis, and think about a more ecological way of approaching their jobs. Water, which is present in solid shampoos at over 70% generally, and plastic, which is a real disaster. That's why I did this, and it's so much more practical and the results are perfectly conclusive if I compare it to quality liquid shampoos that I've used as a hairdresser. The hair is perfectly washed, beautiful, supple, soft, shiny.

Yes, of course, and even more so... it's really important to store your solid shampoo properly. To do this, you must let it dry completely between each wash to prolong its lifespan.

My zero-waste daily habits include my bathroom, where I use many solid or refillable products. I don't use makeup remover wipes, just a little oil and I massage my face to remove my makeup. Regarding food, I consume local and bulk products. Generally speaking, I place great importance on the quality of what I buy and from whom I buy it.

My future projects... I have a lot of ideas... in fact I think I wake up with a new idea every day haha. Ideally, I would prioritize a "fair trade" economy as much as possible: finding the best producers in the world, respecting the interests of the most disadvantaged parties, and ensuring that the human condition of workers is respected (no children at work, decent conditions, a deserving salary). Due to planned future international trips, I want to source my partners directly to ensure that these conditions are met! I also want to expand and broaden the product range. One of my dreams would be to create several 100% natural Wilmotte Cosmétique salons (France and International) by January 2025. And of course, flood France with Wilmotte Cosmétique solid shampoos!

If you too would like to switch to solid plant-based shampoo, you can find the entire range of Wilmotte Cosmetic shampoos HERE.
