Since January 2020, France has banned the sale of plastic cotton swabs , which have become infamous for their environmental impact. This change is part of a broader effort to combat ocean and river pollution, a problem vividly illustrated by photographer Justin Hofman's famous 2016 photograph.

The cotton swab , once a bathroom staple, is now being criticized for its harmful effects on the environment. As part of my zero-waste journey, I needed to find an eco-friendly alternative to keep my ears clean while respecting the planet. I also needed a French-made solution, because supporting the local economy is a value I hold dear.
